In this post I will discuss “how to solve: USB device not recognized.” Sometimes when we attach our usb device to our computer’s USB port, we face two types of error : USB device not recognised USB driver not recognised So we take the first error that is ” USB device not recognised”. There may be some reason behind this. Some general reasons are:- your PC is not updated, USB controller or USB driver has become corrupt, driver is not updated, external drive is entering selective suspend. So, to solve the issue please follow the method mentioned below:- Method 1 Go to start > search box, then type device manager in it Click on the Device manager Click on disk drives from the list of hardwares Now choose your external hard drive (usb device) and right click on uninstall. Hard drive will be uninstalled. Unplug the usb device. Just wait for some time and connect the USB device. You will see that driver is automatically loading. Now open the window explorer and check that your USB device is displayed or not. Method 2 If your problem is not solved by above method then you need updated Windows. So follow the steps mentioned below: Go to Start>Search box, type windows update. You will get result with windows update click on it. After checking updates click on review optional updates.
